In the beginning I was scared Deathly afraid of the entirely possible reality of saccharine kisses and recycled love-notes I lay dormant in my body and would not wake For anyone less than the one described in cliched phrases that cannot capture true meaning A constant knocking at my door Or nagging itch or buzzing in my ear Made me give the idea more thought And so against my better judgement I fell I thought perhaps I would fly And soar through epic skies beyond the reach of photographs Happiness would finally catch up to me I assumed that I would be caught But thought I could handle it if I was not I was fine risking so much

The Moon

I saw the sky engulf the moon And her cries shook me in my bed Leaving my cotton cocoon I set my gaze upon her face She was left a sliver of her former self Still she struggled to pull away And she escaped into my larger veins Inching through my circulatory labyrinth She came to rest in a crevice of my brain Taking refuge in the gray fibrous mass I asked her, "What brings you here, my dear?" And she said, "I'm in a terrible state My head is full of lies, and my heart has gone awry" I let her rest, and did not speak As I did not know what to say Until night gave up and let her be And the moon went on her way.

Hello again. I haven't posted anything since the beginning of January, and unfortunately I doubt I will have anything to post for quite a while. I haven't been in a very creative mood lately. I'm just focusing on getting through school with the same grades or better that I got last semester, and not doing anything to anger my parents so badly that they don't let me go to UNT. Oh yeah, I got into TAMS at UNT. I can't believe I forgot to post that. Not that anyone checks out my page much, anymore. So, yes. Tum tee tum. Goodbye, interweb people.
